IN A HURRY

A homeowner in the 4500 block of 191st Ave. SE arrived home and found three males shoving items into their pants and and then leave the area at a high rate of speed Sept. 10. Because of other calls, IPD was unable to respond for almost an hour. The subjects were not found and there were no other complaints made in the area.

NOT SERVED

Police were contacted regarding two people sitting in front of the caller’s neighbor’s home in the 19000 Block of SE 43rd on Sept. 11. The caller was asked by the occupants of the car, if the people were on vacation. The occupants in the car turned out to be process servers.

DISTURBANCE

On Sept. 4, a caller reported he had seen a woman hanging out of a car yelling for help. An officer spotted a vehicle similar to the one described on East Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast and initiated a stop. He noticed the woman in the car had streaked makeup as if she had been crying; she told the officer she and the driver were having an argument and she briefly considered leaving the car before changing her mind. Both the driver and the woman said there had been no physical altercation, and both denied she had hung out of the window or shouted for help. The officer left them a pamphlet on the Domestic Violence Prevention Act and released them at the scene.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Sept. 7, police were checking on a treehouse near 229th Place Southeast due to neighbor concerns about drinking and drug use inside. The officers found two men inside the treehouse, and a records check showed one of the men had a protection order issued against the other. The violator was arrested and booked into Issaquah Jail.

NO PERMIT

On Sept. 9, a tipster reported a solicitor in her neighborhood without a permit. A deputy contacted the suspect and informed him he needed a personal permit to solicit. A records check of his name revealed a felony warrant out of Pierce County for assault in the second degree and assault in the third degree. He was arrested and transported to King County Jail for booking.

STEREO THEFT

On Sept. 10, a 203rd Place East resident reported the theft of a stereo from a company vehicle parked in his driveway. It appeared the suspect entered through the pick-up’s rear sliding window. The investigating deputy found shoe prints and latent prints at the scene.

THEFT

On Sept. 10, two officers were checking various construction sites due to several recent reports of stolen building materials. While traveling 231st Place Southeast near, an officer noticed a vehicle leave an unfinished house with what appeared to be wood in the backseat. The officer initiated a stop on Issaquah Pine Lake Road Southeast. After some discussion, the driver admitted to taking cedar shingles from the housing development. The officers recovered the stolen items and processed the suspect at the Sammamish sub-station before releasing him back at his car.

ASSAULT

On Sept. 11, police arrested a 47-year-old woman for assault in the fourth degree. Two deputies were dispatched to a 218th Place East home after a resident called to report his mother had struck his father in the face. On arrival the victim was agitated and temporarily detained for officer safety, when a scratch was noted on his cheek. Neither the alleged assailant or victim would give details of the incident. The suspect was booked into Issaquah Jail and the report was forwarded to the city prosecutor.

PLATES

On Sept. 11, a 230th Place Northeast resident reported stolen license plates. The victims were required to order new plates when he renewed his registration, but they never arrived in the mail. In late August, they received a bill from a toll road company for use of the 520 bridge by a white four-door Mazda bearing their new plate numbers. The plates were cancelled and the report was filed for informational purposes only.

VANDALISM

On Sept. 11, a deputy was dispatched to an East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast residence where a vandalism had just occurred. A real estate broker for the home reported impact damage to two garage doors, several smashed windows on the front of the house and a broken bench. It appeared a 4-by-4 post found inside the home had been used to break several windows. A neighbor reported he had seen a white work van at the home. Photos of the damage were forwarded for detective review.

BURGLARY

On Sept. 12, a deputy was dispatched to Southeast 27th Street in reference to a residential burglary. The victim said she had left her laptop on a coffee table while she went upstairs to lay down. She heard the doorbell ring several times and then, several minutes later, the door slam. When she went downstairs to investigate, the computer was gone. The officer collected latent prints and a photo of a footprint on a window-side electrical box.

LARCENY

On Sept. 12, an East Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast resident reported the theft of a homemade gas mini-bike from the front of his home. The bike went missing sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 31 and 2 p.m. Sept. 1. The victim submitted a photo of the bike to police.

DEER

On Sept. 12, an officer was dispatched to an injured deer discovered by Public Works employees at an East Main Drive retention pond. It appeared to have a broken neck and could not stand or move. After confirming Washington Fish & Wildlife were not coming and receiving approval from a sergeant, the officer dispatched the deer with his department-issued sidearm.
