The Spartans picked up a host of wins and a meet record at the invitational meet

Skyline took the trip across the Cascades for the Eastmont Invitational track and field meet, and came back with a host of wins and girls meet record.

Senior Dorie Dalzell earned Athlete of the Meet honors on the girls side after winning the 200 meters and 400 meters, breaking a 26 year old meet record in the 400 in a time of 57.97 seconds, and also running for the Spartans on its title winning 800 and 1600 meter relay teams.

Geneva Ecola won the 100 meter hurdles in 16.63 and senior Alexis Daugherty took the 800 in 2:16.41.

Nicole Cox, Brandi Hughes and Amanda Johnston joined Ecola to take the 800 meter relay in 1:48.13, while Maizy Brewer, Daugherty, Dalzell and Mackenzie Deutsch were the winners in the 1600 meter relay in 4:04.43.

Tyler Ma was second in the 400 on the boys side, with Joey Nakao sixth in the 1600. Brendan Long, Ma, Blake Hallauer and Jack Welch were third in the 1600 meter relay for the Spartans.

Bryan Lee came back from his school record setting performance in the discus to win the event at Eastmont with a throw of 152-07. He was second in the shot put with 45-06.
