Issaquah’s Council President John Traeger decided not to run for reelection this fall, but not without tapping a Squak Mountain man to run for his seat.
The City of Issaquah approved $4,500 for the Down Home Fourth of July celebration this year. The money comes from a $130,000 set aside for arts grants.

As Issaquah neared completion of a natural restoration project at Squak Valley North, it discovered a leaky oil tank had contaminated about 56 tons of soil.

Grand Ridge Elementary School has just received a new grant. But don’t look for new books or computers. Instead, the money will bring 22 solar panels to the school. The stationary panels will be mounted to the roof of the school and be used both for electricity and as educational tools.
